Visualizing a Connected Region

Develop a visualization solution to help plan construction and monitor operations and critical infrastructure in the near future – a future of Smart Cities with widely deployed IOT devices. Solutions that investigate such concepts as:
• Visualizing traffic fluidity before and after construction
• Monitoring power consumption, generation, and redundancy
• Logistical supply chains and redundancy in the case of a disaster
• Rural/urban economic dependency or integration
• Enablement technologies to allow permitting in 3D
• Economic or environmental impact monitoring.

*To help promote and support open standards, extra points are awarded to teams that use these in their projects. Extra points are also awarded for projects that are made open source. The AEC Hackathon organizers & sponsors may have additional challenges at the events.
